We are currently seeking an Experienced Title Clerk who is detail-oriented, organized, and professional to join our administrative team.

Position Summary:

The Title Clerk is responsible for processing all vehicle titles and registrations accurately and efficiently for new, used, wholesale, and traded vehicles. The ideal candidate has prior experience in a dealership setting, particularly with high-end or luxury brands, and is familiar with DMV processes, state regulations, and dealership management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process title paperwork for vehicle sales, trade-ins, lease payoffs, and wholesale deals
  • Ensure all documents are accurate, complete, and in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Submit title and registration paperwork to the appropriate DMV offices in a timely manner
  • Reconcile title inventory and maintain organized records of all title transactions
  • Monitor and resolve title issues or delays; follow up with banks, lienholders, and customers as necessary
  • Process vehicle payoff requests and obtain lien releases
  • Maintain current knowledge of state title regulations and DMV policies
  • Provide excellent internal and external customer service (interacting with sales team, lenders, and customers)
  • Assist with other administrative duties as needed, including temporary tags, notary services, and filing

Requirements:

  • Minimum 23 years of title clerk experience in an automotive dealership setting (luxury dealership experience preferred)
  • In-depth knowledge of DMV processes and state titling regulations
  • Experience with Dealertrack or similar DMS systems
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of integrity and professionalism
  • Notary Public certification (or willingness to obtain, if required by state)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with high-end vehicle financing and lease payoff procedures
  • Previous experience processing out-of-state or international titles
